When is Registration?
Registration typically starts in early August for the following year. Players interested in Majors must be registered and have a tryout in the fall of the upcoming season. League Options.
Registration closes March 8th. After March 8, players will be placed on a waiting list.
When does the season start?
Opening Day is Saturday, May 2nd . Teams will parade in before the opening ceremonies and a full day Saturday of games. Teams will likely start practicing in early and mid-April.
When will we know the teams and the schedules?
Majors teams are announced in the fall after try outs. All other teams (except the Rookies Academies) should be notified by their managers by the end of March. Rookie Academy teams will be notified in mid-April.
Schedules will be complete early March, Baseball schedules will be posted on the Penfield Little League website. Softball schedules are typically sent to coaches for distribution. Not all divisions are done at the same time typically Majors 8-10 and 10-12 are out first and then others follow as the teams are finalized following the close of registration on March 8th The goal is to have all of the remaining schedules completed by April 1, but depending on late registrations some leagues may not be available until later.
With the exception of Rookies Academies, all other teams will typically play one game a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and one game on each Saturday with the exception of Memorial Day weekend.
How long is the season?
All leagues are scheduled to be completed before Monday, June 23, 2025. Depending on the league, regular season games may be completed in mid-June with an end of season tournament at the end of June.
