When is Registration?
Registration typically starts in early August for the following year. Players interested in Majors must be registered and have a tryout in the fall of the upcoming season. League Options.
Registration closes March 2nd. After March 2, players will be placed on a waiting list.
When does the season start?
Opening Day is Saturday, May 4th . Teams will parade in before the opening ceremonies and a full Saturday of games. Teams will likely start practicing in early and mid-April.
When will we know the teams and the schedules?
Majors teams are announced in the fall after try outs. All other teams (except the Rookies Academies) should be notified by their managers by the end of March. Rookie Academy teams will be notified in mid-April.
Schedules for Majors are posted on the Penfield Little League website. The schedules for the other leagues will be completed as the teams are finalized following closing of Registration on March 15. The goal is to have all of the remaining schedules by April 15 but depending on late registrations some leagues may not be available until later.
With the exception of Rookies Academies, all other teams will typically play one game a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and one game on each Saturday with the exception of Memorial Day weekend.
How long is the season?
All leagues are scheduled to be completed before Monday, June 24, 2024. Depending on the league, regular season games may be completed in mid-June with an end of season tournament at the end of June.
